Adult Rehabilitative
Mental Health Services
The ARMHS program at Sioux Trails operates as a community based support service for persons on Medical Assistance who have mental health problems.  ARMHS typically focuses on skills training provided to individuals in the home, work setting or community.

The goal of ARMHS is to provide rehabilitative mental health services to persons struggling with a mental illness.

The services will allow the individual to develop and enhance their stability, social skills, personal and emotional adjustment, and independent living and community skills.

The long term goal of ARMHS is to improve the individual's quality of life and to avoid more intensive placements.
Children's Therapeutic Supports and Services
The CTSS program at Sioux Trails
is a Medical Assistance service that
is designed to provide intensive
outpatient services to youth
that experience emotional
disturbance or severe
emotional disturbance
and that have
significant functional
problems due to
these emotional
issues.

Each child is provided a diagnostic
assessment to determine eligibility
and to identify needed treatment
interventions that will help the child
overcome or compensate for skill
deficits. Each client in the service will have a worker, with education and training in the delivery of services to youth, knowledge of community resources and work under the direct supervision of a licensed mental health professional.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a program originally designed to provide effective cognitive-behavioral treatment to individuals with a diagnosis of borderline personality disorder. DBT has also been shown to be effective with some other mental health disorders.

DBT consists of a skills training group, individual therapy, and telephone coaching. The skills group focuses on teaching effective skills to help manage emotions and situations, while creating a life worth living. The skills are taught in four sections, called modules. Mindfulness, Interpersonal Effectiveness, Emotion Regulation, and Distress Tolerance are the areas of focus for the modules.

Goals of DBT are:

-Tolerating painful experiences
-Improving relationships
-Focusing on what is important to you
